Elite's generic Adderall seems fairly well-liked online.

Can anyone comment on the issues Elite is having with their adderall generic drug? Apparently there are some nasty side effects and multiple reports submitted to the FDA. What does this mean for the company and how will they address this?

I have followed these online discussions for a while now. It is a good way of tracking which pharmacies are selling our product. I haven't seen any recent uptick in complaints about Elite's generic Adderall, and in fact, a lot of folks seem to prefer it and seek it out due to its consistency and availability. Most recent comments I have seen about the various formulations suggest something changed about Teva, whereas I see a lot of people complaining about how it isn't working like it used to. There are many negative reviews on various online sites about most of the generic versions, including Elite (and previously Lannett), but IMO these complaints are more about the generic process in general rather than any specific formula. The FDA really only looks at the primary endpoints, and even those can be any where between 75% and 125% of brand. The kinetic distribution curves can vary greatly. And don't forget, Adderall is a mixture of 4 different salts, so those ratios can vary also. It seems to me a lot of complaints about the generic versions are really complaints about switching from one version to another, which happens a lot. The different versions are different enough that people can really feel a big change in positive or negative effects. There are plenty of comments to the effect of, "I didn't like Elite at first but now I really do."

It's like chicken salad. You love your mom's chicken salad, but you hate your Aunt Sally's. She puts raisins and shit in there (wtf?). They're both chicken salad, but we all know raisins don't belong in chicken salad. As far as I can tell, the online complaints about Elite's Adderall are no different than people bitching about their chicken salad.
