Quite honestly, I think that insecurity you speak of is on the other foot or else you'd not be so defensive and hateful towards those who not just disagree but attempt rational conversation outside of your view.....

Back to try understanding all points of view before you discount anything, much rather be so defense and close minded...Its the sheer definition of insecurity.....
