Yes, I know about those who are not used to the snow and ice. Dallas gets some nasty ice storms once in awhile that catches the unwary off guard... the black ice can be nasty. A friend who moved there recently from Chicago was a surprised victim. The Panhandle can be really treacherous getting some nasty snow storms...watch out when driving over to New Mexico or Colorado to go skiing. Those chinook winds blowing the snow can shut down the highway for a few days and some cars get stranded. It can be a death trap if not prepared.

So, while many parts of the state are flat there are some scenic hill country areas mostly from Austin west and south a bit. One thing I really love is the great
bbq and Mexican food

Perhaps Texas should introduce the "Michigan left"!
