The facility in Lam Dong will not produce silk. The only places KBLB now has to produce silk: Prodigy and GSS.

Here is what the most recent PR said about this production center’s role:

“Kraig Labs expects this center will serve as a central location for collaboration with the VSA and LAREC to enhance sericulture in Vietnam. The Company anticipates this facility will also serve as the distribution and collection hub for the resulting recombinant spider silk fibers, yarns, and fabrics.”

The center will collect and distribute silk fibers, yarns, and fabrics.

Over time, I expect KBLB will announce further production agreements with silkworm farms in Lam Dong. But they haven’t announced any yet. There is no need. GSS will have all the production capacity KBLB can support for a considerable period of time.

GSS will begin to use the new BAM 1 hybrids as soon as they are ready … late this Spring (or sometime this summer).

Sorry to throw a brace of cold reality on your fantasy bubble.

Once again, this is not bad news. KBLB is planning for future growth and moving pieces into place to support that. But scaling up will take much of 2024 and not a lot of selling will happen (if any).

I’m sure you disagree. We can see if KBLB hits a buck or 3 by June.
