Back in the late sixties or early 70s, I forget, my father refused to advertise his business on a local radio station because they had Paul Harvey's show. The salesmen asked him whether he thought the station owners were entitled to run whatever programs they wanted to. He agreed that they certainly did, and added that he had a right to support programming that reflected his values, and not to support programming that didn't.
