Just got an email from my internet provider. Biden had started that infrastructure bill that included lots of internet programs for people who don't or can't get broadband or decent internet. One program was one I was qualified for and that was 30 bucks off a month. Seems the maga party got to it and wants to shut it down in two months.
Already sent in a letter to my reps.

There's another side to this and that is my provider is spectrum which may also be involved with the attempts to shut it down. There's no way they want to give away 300 bucks a year per customer, so I wouldn't doubt they never wanted to comply with the government mandate in the first place.
Spectrum makes it sound like they want you to have the discount. Riiiiight.

These programs were supposed to go for a couple more years as long as you qualify. Being on SS and income levels allowed it.

I've given my paycheck to taxes and SS my entire life and for years the maga party has been trying to take the fund away from everyone and give it to the elite rich. maga party says I don't deserve the 'handout'? This of course comes from congress people who get lifetime high pensions and full benefits for life after just one 4 or 8 year tenure.

I've worked for over 55 years and I don't deserve to get back a percentage that I paid in for everyone else my whole life?
