NO. I believe what you see as some kind of weird phenomenon is simply this:

The emoji library is MUCH larger than what you see if you just click on the little smily face at the left. So if you want, say, the poop emoji, you do a search for it, and it pops up. You use it, and it stays in the line at the bottom.
