See post #249712 in response to an earlier post by you. There is no formal clinical trial of orally dosed Vascepa with an indication of weight loss that I am aware of. Others beside me(who are not diabetic at all) report a weight loss while taking prescribed Vascepa. Reason for weight loss is unknown—perhaps more exercise or a better diet? Now 86, I have had no AEs while taking 4 grams of Vascepa daily for the past 10+ years. Cost(co-pay with insurance) has been $36-$60/year.
