Gideon Levy has some of the better observations. Haaretz is kind of expensive though.

He makes the point that Israel doesn't want quiet. They push and prod until they get a reaction.

But I imagine that is the point, and every reaction is an opportunity to further repress and murder. Israel lost 1400 people in a heinous attack on Oct 7. Now the world is with them... for a time. I read dozens of posts and hundreds of approvals, that Israel should simply massacre every living thing in Gaza. The death toll is well over 20 thousand. How many of the dead are Hamas? Who fucking cares?

That's the point. It's always the point.

And while the world's sympathy is with them, the radical Judaic terrorists in the West Bank go about their reign of terror, completely ignored by the world at large.

Hamas may just have overplayed their hand. Clearly they went further than Netanyahu intended, but no matter, they can be completely obliterated, (possibly by drowning in the blood of the 100 thousand or so civilians Israel is bent on killing) and it won't be enough. Hap might get something close to an erection, and will probably be prompted to get out his old SS uniform and attempt to masturbate, but other than that, no one will win.

Fuck them all. I don't forgive either side.
