I go back and forth from (yes) it doesn't look good, to .. if we just made a few changes here and there..
Those are good examples of insulated entrenched leaders that will fill the dust bin of history.

Humans are bad organizing themselves but have been pretty good in a crisis

Banda Aceh reported the largest number of deaths. It remains the deadliest natural disaster of the 21st century.[12]

 The plight of the affected people and countries prompted a worldwide humanitarian response, with donations totalling more than US$14 billion[17] (equivalent to US$22 billion in 2022 currency).
