Many people avoid posting their mugs because of facial recognition software that can be cross-referenced easily and giving the internet even more information about one's self is not desirable to many. For example, we have barb's face picture and we know that she is on facebook. Finding more info would be easy if one cared to. Most of us know this instinctively, and only share info with people we have come to trust.
