There's no wall or barbed wire around Manhattan. There's 24/7 electricity and running water. There are sewage treatment facilities. People in Manhattan can come and go as they please. They can run down to the corner store, grab some lunch with friends, plan a day trip up to Connecticut to see relatives... They have jobs. There's a cruise ship terminal, several airports nearby.. highways running in and out...

So except for a few things like that, I guess you could say it's pretty much just like Gaza, maybe not as hot in the summer.
