Regarding the whole interest thing, I wonder if/when a settlement/agreement comes if part of it is to waive the interest. We let Samsung off easy with no additional/treble damage, and we do need to work with them in the future to collect our royalties. Makes me think maybe part of the final agreement is to waive the accumulating interest. Again, it seems so incredibly unfair, and we are rewarding agregious behavior (ongoing litigation while not paying what jury has decided), but we do need a relationship with all the infringers even after all is settled. We all want to get paid, but I want our future/ongoing payments even more than the quick fix. I just want a stinking settlement with someone!!!
