I think the website was used in conjunction with the A/R account(previously) in order to not fall into shell status. They merely ran out of time by a few Months...lol. You can also go back and read up on the USPTO patent payments that ended. Then read up on statutory law via Delaware,as well as, abandonment.
These guys were pretty smart how they handled it ..while still leaving prior options on the table(patent rights..etc.).
