Delta Air Lines (DAL) reported 2nd Quarter June 2023 earnings of $2.68 per share on revenue of $15.6 billion. The consensus earnings estimate was $2.42 per share on revenue of $14.4 billion. The Earnings Whisper number was $2.46 per share. Revenue grew 12.7% on a year-over-year basis.The company said it expects third-quarter earnings of $2.20 to $2.50 per share on revenue of $14.29 billion to $14.67 billion and now expects 2023 earnings of $6.00 to $7.00 per share on revenue of $53.35billion to $54.72 billion. The company's previous guidance was 2023 earnings of $5.00 to $6.00 per share on revenue of $52.44 billion to $54.72 billion. The current consensus estimate is earnings of $2.11 per share on revenue of $14.38 billion for the quarter ending September 30, 2023, and earnings of $6.21 per share on revenue of $54.02 billion for the year ending December 31, 2023.

United’s second-quarter profit of $1.08 billion compared with $329 million in profit a year earlier. It works out to $5.03 per share, excluding one-time items, on revenue of $14.18 billion. Both figures beat Wall Street expectations. Analysts had forecast earnings of $4.03 per share on revenue of $13.90 billion

Netflix (NFLX) reported Q2 earnings late Wednesday of $3.29 per diluted share, up from $3.20 a year earlier.Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $2.85 per share. Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $8.18 billion, up from $7.97 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $8.29 billion.

Tesla earned 91 cents per share. Analysts had expected a profit of 82 cents per share, according to Refinitiv IBES data. It was not immediately clear if the numbers were comparable. The company reported revenue in the April-June period of $24.93 billion, compared with estimates of $24.48 billion, according to Refinitiv data
