It's the "deliberately misinforming" that marks someone as a pumper to me.

When there are multiple interpretations, I can understand that someone would always choose the one most favorable to the company.

But when they twist the truth to support this interpretation, maligning anyone that disagrees, that is when they are deliberately misinforming people.
