That is not allowed for on-topic views on stock boards, and there are procedures in place to deal with it if it happens...."Request Review" or PM Admin.
...silencing based on one persons view is never a good procedure to follow.
There isn't 1 person dictating anything. Most stock boards have 6 moderators. If 1 mod is apparently abusing their position, anyone can notify Admin.
Allowing only one person or those not completely submersed in the daily chats to act as a supreme dictator and judge is akin to living the 1984 saga.
Use "ignore" if you prefer to not see posts from another user. "Mob rule" isn't a good solution to anything.
there should be a vote on the board by actual posters whether an individual should be silenced or curtailed
