Well, as I explained to another User, we are envisioning that as Mods get a feel for what these guidelines mean, I'm imagining that they there will be a different comfort level on everyone's part in choosing whether to delete or report a message.

Personally, I don't see the Mod's position as becoming irrelevant but evolving as some of the new initiatives become available. But, I haven't seen anything specific in terms of that, just my supposition.

I'm surprised and really sorry that you don't see where User's suggestions over the last couple of weeks guided this new phase. I can only say that quite a few people read through every single post on the topic and we had several discussions trying to incorporate the "best of doable" suggestions.
