I have no pity for a person who goes to college because they are interested in a degree in history or political science or the many other ones similar and rack up $100k or more and have a job that can’t pay back the debt.

Go to college with the intent of getting a high paying job in the field you choose.

Of course college costs were cheaper when I went. That’s the point. No one is addressing the problem.

Debt has tripled in 15 years. Tripled! And there is no end in sight.
