but why did they pause on rates? when EU is doing the opposite

perhaps another hike tips the banks over the edge, I dunno, if that's the case, and they need to cut rates, then a possible re-resurgence in inflation when the consumer appears to be tapped in CC debt and dwindling savings resulting from the initial surge in inflation

whatever happens, if they would just lay off the printer for awhile, moderation, let the markets balance out, would be better for everyone, but that is not going to happen because the top 1% are not rich enough yet lol
