I'm starting to think there is a parallel to when his son passed away and blaming the dems for everything when it was the republiklans that failed him.

I know someone who had the same experience with their family, and us friends tried to talk to her about a very visible painful event about to happen, she didn't see it, refused there was a problem.
She lost her teenager to drugs and still can't accept she could have done more and blames everyone else. She needs counseling more than anyone I know.
