Settlement of trademark opposition, brought by Ilegal Mezcal, == agreement. That implies that Ilegal Mezcal gets something they want, and Illegal Brands IP gets something out of the deal as well.
The trademark opposition can also end two other ways:
1. Ilegal Mezcal can just drop it and walk away (oops, sorry for wasting your time for 2 years), or
2. Go back to litigation before the Trademark Board, if it thinks the Trademark still has value to it; then it will 'fight to the death,' with the Board making the final decision.
Either of the above two can be chosen with or without the influence of Bacardi, but perhaps Bacardi can also force the choice it their acquisition gives them authority over Ilegal Mezcal's internal business decisions.
