Thanks, BnB. I'm not having a host of problems either.
But I'm almost as good as you about running a clean machine.
Mine gets a scrub down every other day.
I was a mainframe programmer for 21 years. If you were working with test libraries for copy statements (for example) and there was an obsolete one in there, the compile would grab it instead of the current production one. Results were no good. Just guessing right now... sites use cookies they planted on your machine to load more quickly. If you don't clean the old ones out fairly often, the machine is liable to grab an obsolete one of those instead of one that is current and will not function properly. Kaboom. Error time. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I think that's the reason some folks have so much trouble.
The biggest problem I have is the changes in navigation. I had the old ways down pat and old grumpy puss here finds the new ones inefficient and annoying. Small example: in the old days when you previewed PMs, it would jump to a point where you could see the bottom of the preview and top of what you typed. Now if it's a long reply, it just sits there. I know this has gone on for quite a while, but I still sit there stupidly waiting for the preview to appear. Duh. lol
Take care. Maybe I should seriously go find a life while I still have some time left.
