Looks like the trial in India will be starting soon. It will use oral formulations (syrup and gummies) in Phase I safety testing in mild to moderate Covid. Would be good to see the trial endpoints besides safety, plus the size of the study, duration, etc... I imagine this will be a small, short safety trial, possibly with ascending doses? Likely to be randomized and placebo controlled? Maybe we will get more details after they announce the trial has started.

They have funds to run the Covid Phase I trial in India, then will need a partner or to raise more money. If they announce preclinical success against RSV, that would probably help too. They say they have manufactured plenty of ShinglesCide cream for that trial to happen next, but will need funding. US IND and injectible and inhalable CovidCide are on hold for now, pending funding? They would be used on moderate to severe patients.

One might think some big pharma could be interested in the encapsulation technology, for instance to improve the PK of remdesivir or other antiviral of interest. I wonder if they could combine acyclovir with their topical herpes drug. That could be a real hit.
