You are referring to Patrick Byrne. And yeah he tried to make a big deal about naked shorting on Overstocked, but was never able to produce the data to support it…because frankly it wasn’t there at the level he was suggesting. Which is why he was not “successful” in proving anything. Eventually he got removed as CEO.

And yes, naked shorting does happen. But the key point is…it CAN’T be hidden, like so many want to believe.

It shows up as FTDs and eventually, if they are significant the stock ends up on the threshold security list.

But ALL of that is meaningless for MIKP. It can’t be shorted, has had ZERO short interest for 2 years, and has ZERO FTDs.
