Why hadn’t the TREN deal moved GTCH’s stock? The 13,000,000 shares of TREN that accrue to GTCH’s 50% interest in GBT Tokenize probably have to be applied first to the holder of a pledge of GTCH’s 50% interest in GBT Tokenize; the pledge is to give security to the holder of the “Igor” promissory note that GTCH owes about $8M under. The direct financial benefit of the TREN shares to GTCH will be what’s left over after the Igor Note is paid off. The indirect benefit—a good one—is that the $8M Igor Note might get paid off. Paying off debt is a great thing for a company in GTCH’s debt position.
