B402, IF we knew all polled understood the issues as fully as some of us know them, e.g. inflation and causes, then the 2/3 might mean something meaningful. How many of those 2/3 will be fully aware that Saudi Arabia's moves to boost the oil price for his and Putin's benefit will act like a tax on all drivers - albeit a more democratic one than many taxes, with much inequity too - and add to the difficulties of getting inflation down.
Yet, how many of the 2/3 will still place all the blame for inflation on Biden.
Also, you almost talk about Congress as a body disconnected with the electorate.
"Ya know,,,32% leaves 2/3rds enough for a no confidence vote and lets start over....The people need a solution and when you get numbers like that, maybe its time to go,,,,,,,,regardless of party,,,,,,,Perhaps a new law is in order to regain some control over congress and send a message the have consequences.....Might help the corruption part........ P - Pipe dream but we need to get control of Congress somehow......"
The people need a solution? The people put Congress there. In the latest Australian election your conservative side took a drubbing which exceeded all expectations. The Australian electorate rejected varied efforts to introduce elements of Trumpism into the process. Bully tactics, lies, misinformation and anti-trans garbage for four.
Your blame is at least to a great degree misplaced. Blame the people at least as much as you blame Congress.
And the new law you refer to. A pipe dream for sure and reeks of authoritarianism.
It was Plato who said, “He, O men, is the wisest, who like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth nothing”
