That was basically his modus operandi here too. They sign an original contract to paint and paper the common areas and got a decent downstroke to start the work but many extras were signed off on and the money stopped coming in. It damn near sunk the company and they were one of the largest decorating firms in the city at the time.
They slowly built back and regained trust with their material vendors that they wound up owing a shit ton of money to but it was never the same for them after that and the Trump Org skated free when it became useless to keep fighting in court. It went on for seven years and finally they just punted.
