I had a boss who was trying to save his job, and corporate politics was something I was not prepared for. After a lengthy meeting where I knew the outcome I decided that I was young enough to still go my own way. That weekend gave me that carefree feeling that life is about taking chances. I returned from that trip and started a small company, it lasted almost 12 years, but it was so much more rewarding than the corporate life.
