This is America, and I have faith in this country, but it was shaken. We elected Bush, and then it elected trump. Both elecetions were very close, and actually Al Gore did win that 2000 election. But even in America, once anyone is actually elected to be President, he or she is supposed to do what is best for the country.
Both times Bush and Trump made fatal mistakes in their judgement.
Millions of Americans lost in both of their Presidency's. So many Americans died in a needless war with Iraq, and now we question the use of our military in almost any fight. Then millions of Americans lost their homes, their jobs, and the world almost fell apart because of a financial chaos that shook everyone.
Then trump was elected, America surrendered to dictator's all around the world. The very strength of NATO and free elections, along with the rule of democracy almost fell to a man who was not as smart as Hitler, but just as crazy with his dreams of power.
Trump killed a million Americans with his lax attitude toward a pandemic that engulfed the world. Yes, America came back from his failed presidency. But the cost was huge. Even now 35 % of America has actually turned away from believing in America and democracy for all.
Those 35 % believe in only one thing, how can they destroy freedom for everyone else in America. Now that is scary.
