Public pressure a factor too.

Eli Lilly had a full page ad on the back page of the front section of the Washington Post announcing their price reduction for insulin the day after it was announced, no doubt to assure Congress that they were good citizens and looking out for the well being of diabetics in the United States.

No need for government price controls…
