As far as I'm concerned, these discussions are not necessary because we WILL hit dollars per share because of the predicament short sellers are in.
It is a TRUE checkmate.
It won't matter if there's a deal, a drop of oil... none of that matters anymore once I realized that short sellers must buy all non Offor shares to cover. Not some of them ALL OF THEM.
It's game over and all it's going to take is a catalyst that causes shorts to run out of shares available to short. In fact, not even that.
