I would say you're spot on. The scientific community has proof that many ancient societies are actually built right on top of other even more ancient civilizations. There are whole cities collapsed off the coast of Greece and around the world.

Did that article show pics? I really hate it when some article talks about something so specific and doesn't show images or even link to images. I've always considered that poor journalistic work. But I have so many blockers going I can never tell for sure. *edit- I checked the links, they weren't to any images for tools. Archeologists are human and not perfect too. So many assumptions over the century that turn out incorrect. Another interesting subject is the Egyptian experts and 'keepers of history' over there refuse to accept previous civilizations under and in Egypt and there's pretty good evidence all over there that Egyptians probably didn't build much there but inherited the whole area from previous more advanced people.

The internet is a greatly visual image media, don't give me some 4 page scrolling novel and not bother to bring some images.
