I was a fan of Popeye and Olive. I always loved when he one upped Bluto but I didn't start eating spinach until I found out how tasty it could be. Our mom's didn't buy spinach back then, just Tang and Gatorade, then we got a free hot dog after the game and maybe the old man would burn up something on the grill when we got home.

It never gave me muscles or anything, it was just a pizza topping but I still use it from time to time because I like big salads. I mix it in with romaine and some fresh veggies like cucumber, tomato, radish, carrot, beet, shredded cheese, bacon bits and croutons and my dressing du jour.

I like just plain vinegar and oil but I do mix it up for when I have company.
