Delta Air Lines (DAL) reported 4th Quarter December 2022 earnings of $1.48 per share on revenue of $13.4 billion. The consensus earnings estimate was $1.31 per share on revenue of $12.4 billion. The Earnings Whisper number was $1.40 per share. Revenue grew 41.9% on a year-over-year basis. The company said it expects first quarter earnings of $0.15 to $0.40 per share on revenue of $11.94 billion to $12.25 billion and 2023 earnings of $5.00 to $6.00 per share on revenue of $58.17 billion to $60.70 billion. The current consensus estimate is earnings of $0.45 per share on revenue of $11.35 billion for the quarter ending March 31, 2023 and earnings of $5.25 per share on revenue of $52.22 billion for the year ending December 31, 2023. The company also said it is on track to achieve 2024 earnings of more than $7.00 per share. The current consensus estimate is earnings of $6.57 per share for the year ending December 31, 2024.

Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) reported a 3rd Quarter November 2022 loss of $3.65 per share on revenue of $1.3 billion. The consensus estimate was a loss of $2.36 per share on revenue of $1.4 billion. The Earnings Whisper number was for a loss of $2.97 per share. Revenue fell 33.0% compared to the same quarter a year ago.
