Reaction to this startling news has been swift, but mixed. Senator John McCain said “I can’t accept this. I recommend some pre-emptive air strikes be launched on Toronto, and then we can get some boots on the ground to figure out what’s going on”. Senator Ted Cruz, on the other hand, immediately asked for his Canadian citizenship back.

President Obama had a more measured response “Our folks here are talking to the folks at NASA, who are talking to the folks in Toronto. They’re good folks, we’re good folks, so we are probably gonna be ok with this concept.”
