update re: Roger/OPTI’s Bistro 7 restaurant:

The restaurant that appears to be Roger/OPTI’s “Bistro 7” is late in reopening.

There was a “soft opening” on August 24, 2022. It closed for renovations after that, and its website said it would be closed until mid-November.

Later, that website notice was changed to: “BISTRO 7 WILL BE CLOSED THROUGH NOVEMBER TO FULLY COMPLETE THE RESTAURANT RE-MODEL.” But, it’s still closed.

I’ve called the restaurant several times since it closed, including today: a recorded message says: “Please enter your remote access code”. (Has the number been reassigned?)

Open Table continues to take reservations, but the most recent comments say the restaurant was closed. https://www.opentable.com/r/bistro-7-carlsbad

- San Diego County Assessor records list a 6/27/2022 Deed of Trust from OPTEC International Inc. (grantor) to “Bistro 7” (grantee).

Does that deed of trust transfer mean that OPTI bought the restaurant and then sold or gave it to Roger?
