I believe the output was considerably less than what was expected. A 50% shortfall would probably generate the kind of behavior we have seen, but it would not be cause for panic. That is the tweaking situation Mojo described. A 90% shortfall would also have generated the same behavior but engenders more panic, at least on my part. Thompson might not know if the problem can be fixed and simply be hopeful that the hybrids will fare better.

So, the production numbers are embarrassing but perhaps not terrifying. We will only learn more when Thompson shares new information. I expect this quarter will be difficult for investors.
