Interesting point - but Bitcoin isn't used as a currency - see Hodl - people were using it as a investment.

The only people using Bitcoin for currency are those on the Darknet to purchase drugs etc.

Even those are switching to Monero because there isn't any security in Bitcoin as it is too easy to trace transactions.
