gfp: The Middle East now knows they can't depend on America to protect them. We're a paper tiger at this point. And with our "leaders" trying to wean us off fossil fuels we might not even be their best customer any more. Hence the turn toward China. Some of this is backlash from our stupid sanctions policies against Russia. Other countries that are not part of the "lapdog alliance" see what we did to Russia's Dollar reserves and started to think of alternatives. Hence the huge purchases of Gold this year by central banks and sovereign wealth funds.
