gfp: I sold my short ETFs way too soon. I thought they would engineer a Santa Claus rally and I could buy back in at lower prices. Well, there was no rally. The S&P is desperately trying to hand on to it's 50 DMA. I am still going to see if the beginning of January can put together a few "up" days in a row when investors put new 401K and IRA money to work. But the general direction of the market is going to be down. A stair step down perhaps. But by the end of 2023 the stock indexes are going to be a lot lower than they are today.
