Steve, I believe the following slide from a recent presentation by Nikola's Chief Engineer, Christian Appel, explains why Plug Power went with Nikola vs. Hyzon. Both are US based, which I believe was important to Plug Power, however, Nikola will be able to ramp up production much faster than Hyzon, 20,000 Class 8 trucks by Q1 2023, and 45,000 by 2024. Note, these are annual production numbers for a combination of BEV and FCEV trucks, since both use the same chassis, the mix will be determined by demand, which in my opinion will be dominated by FCEVs.
