Maybe, as others have pointed out, it's the sell the news philosophy. I'd have a few problems with that though - 1) The news is awfully good 2) There might be even more news that they are keeping under their hat until Tuesday 3) Could we get back-to-back PRs with audit/merger details 4) I don't think selling the news makes sense when the MC is 10 million. Had it shot to 70-100 million on merger news? OK, understandable. But we're still at a 10 million MC.
