Due to my 'hatred' to all things goog, which is literally impossible to totally ignore, I detest goog for it's tracking and monetizing all things personal in a million ways without our permission that I went with firefox.

I have no way of knowing how insidious ff is, nor by extension duckduckgo is, but on the surface they both seem to do far less tracking for monetary gain. Obviously, what goes on behind the scene in your browser and computer system is never going to be fully known.

I haven't used goog search on my computer for years. I've only used the map mode, which is bad enough. I also have about 10 other browsers that claim private and such with different attributes that I'll pop in and out of.

All ISP's even vpn's and clouds are not completely private as all of them conform to the USA government legal laws of subpoena's. You'd need to go well beyond a vpn to attempt being invisible on the internet.
