bbotc, The bar chart say what it says, it isn't fudged.

‘He needs some victories’: Trump lashes out over his Mexico deal
"Trump is playing U.S. farmers for fools...
MEXICO DID NOT AGREE TO AGRICULTURAL DEAL TOUTED BY PRESIDENT TRUMP, OFFICIALS SAY
"
The most needy president ever. In his mind he is alone, and always a victim of unfair attacks.
As Trump's presidency reaches the 2.5-year mark, he is more aggrieved than ever, telling advisers that he believes he’ll never get fair treatment.

For all of the president’s bluster on trade and immigration, even some of his allies privately acknowledge his approach hasn’t always paid off. Experts have warned that his tariffs on foreign imports, for example, threaten the economic gains he’s seen during his president. Trump has also made little progress on his promise to build a border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. At the same time, illegal border crossings have reached a 13-year high, according to government data released last week.

"fuagf: The bar chart proves nothing. Since Biden became President and the remain-in-Mexico policy ended, migrants have flooded the Southern Border. The number of get-aways is large. The millions who have been processed since Biden became President, get to stay. I regret to inform U that Mexican-Americans who live in Texas are flocking to the Republican Party. They have had it, because they see what is going on. You are a border denier. Does Twitter and Facebook and Google censor border deniers?
How go find a bug and chase it.
"

Trump screwed all he touched. His casinos. His airline. His remain-in-Mexico was
deemed illegal even by your McConnell-stacked SCOTUS. What do you say about that?

Also, you wouldn't have said, in 2004, GWB got more Latino votes down there than Trump got.

How Immigration Politics Drives Some Hispanic Voters to the G.O.P. in Texas
[...]The Republican gains run far deeper than Mr. Trump and, in some ways, predate him, interviews with Hispanic voters and candidates showed. Republican candidates are building on a decades-long history of economic, religious and cultural sentiment that has veered toward conservatives. George W. Bush performed even better in his 2004 re-election campaign in the region than Mr. Trump did in 2020. Many of those who voted for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama for president and then flipped for Mr. Trump had previously backed Mr. Bush.

I say the border situation has been a problem for decades and will continue to be. I say most illegal drugs coming from and through Mexico come through legal border checkpoints. Trump's remain-in-Mexico bs was illegal. In your twisted mind what there makes me a border denier. You have no idea of the material i have posted about that border. You say what you say about that out of ignorance. You would learn something from this one too if you would spend some time on it:

America's poorest border town: no immigration papers, no American Dream

She has neighbours who claim food stamps and housing grants but there are others in the street who share her struggle. A good number of families in the colonias are a mix of undocumented and legal residents or citizens. Sometimes the divide is across a marriage or between parents who came from Mexico and their children born in the US (giving them automatic citizenship), meaning at least one person in the household qualifies for benefits. But Azuara has had nothing from the state. She has worked at two of the few jobs she can get without papers, although both are dependent on demand. About half of the year has been spent in the fields picking crops. Once they were old enough to work, her children joined her.

She was not always deported. Sometimes border patrol officers applied their own criteria. “Three or four times I was able to save myself because I told them I work hard and I’m not a criminal. Six or seven years ago, immigration stopped and asked me, what do you ask the government to give you? I said, nothing. I don’t make the government give me anything. No food stamps, no cheques, nothing. I said I get my money with sweat. He didn’t take me,” she said. “The ‘Anglo’ officers are sometimes more considerate. The Mexicans born here are more strict. I think it’s because they consider us an embarrassment.”

Theresa has been deported 10 times and has always made it back to the US within days and sometimes hours. This ritual is not without its complications, including the loss of work. “When we got home from school there would be a little note on the door,” said Maria. “The border patrol took your parents. Go inside. Don’t come out.” Theresa smiled and said: “I have very good neighbours. They would tell the children that they took your mother to Mexico and now we’ll take care of you guys. And they did.” Maria did not smile. “It was scary. You go to school thinking maybe your parents won’t be there when you come home and maybe they won’t come back,” she said.

The piecemeal improvement in physical conditions in the colonias is welcome but it does not alleviate the other burdens of poverty, particularly for the undocumented. Census figures show that more than 40% of the residents of Colonia Muñiz are covered by public health insurance because of low income or age. But only US citizens and legal residents receive that benefit or qualify for subsidised insurance under Obama’s health reforms.

It was Plato who said, “He, O men, is the wisest, who like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth nothing”
