It is not illegal to be a white nationalist or a Proud Boy.
No one said it was... just another strawman argument. Where it gets illegal is in when they act on those beliefs in counter to our laws. Seditious conspiracy is a crime and it is being prosecuted as such.
Not sure why you feel a need to defend nazis, my family paid dearly fighting them, and if need be, will again, I guess.
The U.S. has a Constitution.
No shit, sherlock. The trouble is the Magats that ignored it and tried to occupy the Capitol in an attempt to derail the Constitutional process and overturn a legal election. It was not stolen, no matter what is bouncing around in your head. 60 court cases, numerous recounts disprove that notion. In trying to overturn a Constitutionally mandated election, a coup was attempted. By definition it was an attempted coup.
Many of us swore to uphold the Constitution and we will, in spite of the crime family that ignored the rule of law for four years. Starting with ignoring the emoluments clause of the Constitution, and the whole spectrum up to the attempted coup, MAGA trashed the rule of law and now must face consequences, or else the Constitution has no meaning.
In world history, failed coup attempts have not been dealt with kindly. If you try to kill a king, you had better have succeeded, as the universal treatment of leaders of failed coups has been death. The only exception to that I can think of was when Hitler was set free again after his failed Beer Hall putsch, and how did that work out for the world? If you indeed claim to follow the Constitution, then following the rule of law is part and parcel of that, something which the shitgibbon never gave a whit about, and if you had any objectivity about it, you would be able to see that fact. Why T**** is not already in jail is a mystery to most of america. Some of his underling henchmen are doing time, but the fish rots from the head down...
Comparing the insurrection to a Sunday school picnic kind of disqualifies you as an objective observer, but we already knew that.
