yeah he's a good kid, going to community college now and working at a local pizza place, just like I did (don't know where he got that idea from). LOL I'm the old man that he likes to pick on and that's cool with me.

We used to play catch a lot but now his interests are somewhere else and that's okay. We still shoot the breeze and it's cool watching him turn into a good man. He's got a single mom that has worked hard to get him to where he is but she has issues of her own so I try to help where I can and tell him he has to be there to care for her now.

I just keep telling him to stay in school and not become a tradesman like me. He's looking at a career in tech and I know it will work for him whatever he decides to do.

I always made friends with the kids on my block because that way, I don't have to lock my doors and pull the shutters down every night. If one of them comes walking through I know it's a problem for them and not a robbery.

Now I have to bolt the doors because of Xoie the escape artist but never worried about that before her latest escapades. I taped the deadbolts shut on the front doors so she can't get her paws on them and put in a dog door last weekend for the fenced in back yard so I can keep her. Was thinking of giving her away but I just can't.
