First, moving the goal post is a metaphor. This may be a perfect example, but it is not "literally a definition." If you're going to be pedantic, go all out and be precise in everything you say.
And gaslighting? Come on, man. Using the definition of a word to explain that the word was used correctly is the most straight forward approach, nothing at all like gaslighting.
