The cocktail includes a vaccine, which will contain enough of a virus to activate an immune response. It would be more expeditious to use J&J's cold virus vaccine, or Novavax's synthetic covid vaccine, than to go through a trial to validate our own vaccine. Likewise, it would be easier to use Innovative's brilacidin as an anti-viral, instead of something we would have to validate.
