Wow Bull, know it was a terrible nightmare. But, as you said humans and
man's best friends were not injured which is a blessing.

(Us and the cats lived through one catastrophic 'total loss' and managed)
(to eventually move along.. Breaks my heart to see damages for others.)

Many possessions are heartfelt memories, but they can be replaced, life
cannot. 'No purging" needed for you!

Definitely a lot of work ahead, probably best to pace yourselves as best you can.
